Hello everyone,
this project is a set of 10 themed pods, each with an Indiana Jones character and a small build, displayed on a decorated display stand.

As some of you may already know, I use the pods that LEGO produced in 2017 for the Batman Battle Pod for my sigfig. So I have quite a few on hand and was looking for more ideas on how to use them.
Since my childhood I have been a big fan of the Indiana Jones films, so I started building a pod for Indy, with the figure on the right and a matching build on the left, as detailed as possible yet compact enough that you can still close the pod easily.
I liked the idea, so I also built pods for more characters.
Here is a detailed overview of the pods:

For Indy’s pod I chose one of the most iconic scenes, the idol temple from the beginning of the first film. There was no room for accessories in the pods in general, so sadly I had to leave his whip.

Marion’s scene shows her bar in Nepal, including the fireplace the medallion falls into. The picture behind her shows the shadow of Indiana Jones as he enters the bar.

For Sallah in his desert outfit I found a relief of the Ark of the Covenant most fitting.

The main antagonist from the second film could not be missing from this collection. On the left I tried to depict the statue of Kali in the Temple of Doom within the limited space.

In Shorty’s pod I wanted to show something from the mine cart chase. Again the small space was a big challenge, but I think it can be identified as one of the carts.

For Willie I tried to recreate the dragon stage from her performance at Club Obi-Wan at the start of the second film. You can also see it in the picture behind the figure.

Henry’s pod is definitely one of the most complex. On the left is a model of the Grail temple from the third film. It also appears on the background image behind the figure.

For Elsa I wanted to depict the Venetian library from the third film. There is a simple bookcase on each side and the back wall holds the large colorful stained glass window.

For the crystal skull skeleton from the fourth film I originally wanted to depict the inner chamber with the thrones, but on the very limited space it did not come across convincingly. So this pod now features one of the pyramids, which also appears in the picture behind the figure.

Lastly I made a pod for the Russian general from the fourth film. I mainly chose this figure because I had the ants from the sets at hand.
To round things off and make the pods look as high quality as possible, I applied self-printed stickers to the outside and behind the figures. For that I again used the waterproof labels that I also used on my SigFig pods.

With upcoming exhibitions in mind I want to be able to present the pods nicely, and simply spreading them on a table does not look right. So I invested a bit more time in a nice display base on which I can set up the pods safely and clearly. Dimensionally it occupies exactly one 32x32 baseplate.
The design is a compromise between appearance and function. I did not want just a single-color staircase, but it must not distract from the pods either. So I went with rocky walls and simple paths, which I think fits the Indiana Jones theme quite well.

The pods do not have stud connections on the outside, so they are not very stable when standing. I therefore added fixed positions where they are held precisely from the back and front so they cannot fall over easily.

Finally I want to address transporting the whole thing. The stepped construction created a lot of space behind the base, so I had the idea to store the pods inside. On the back there are two small doors with a latch, behind which five pods each fit precisely.

Here are a few views during the build. There is virtually no play between the pods, so they cannot wobble during transport.
