Hello everyone,
glad that you found your way to my LEGO website!

First some info about me. My name is Christian Leroch, I am from Bavaria and a member of the Bavarian LUG "Bricking-Bavaria". I Currently work as a Technical Product Designer at Mahlo GmbH+Co.KG and am doing further training to become a Mechanical Engineering Technician. In my free time I enjoy working with 3D printing and of course with LEGO. I also like to read, my absolute favorite being the Three-Body Trilogy by Liu Cixin. At the moment, I'm diving into the Xeelee Sequence by Stephen Baxter.
I also love traveling. For some time now I have been uploading photos from my trips to my personal website, www.leroch.net, in a self-developed photo gallery. Since most pictures were taken with location data, I had the idea to display them on a interactive map. It is even possible to visualize the chronological sequence of individual trips, here is an example.
For me LEGO is primarily a medium to express my creativity. Of course I own some official sets, but I see myself less as a collector and with new releases I'm mostly interested in the individual parts to expand my sorting system.
I'm not new to the LEGO hobby. I started sharing my projects online several years ago. Back then still under the username "bricks4bricks" which honestly had no deeper meaning, on Instagram and YouTube. For a few years I took a step back due to time constraints and pursued other interests. Gradually I found my way back, started expanding my sorting system and attended the regular meetups of Bricking-Bavaria in Munich. Since the end of 2023 I have been getting deeper and deeper into the hobby and the community and visit exhibitions such as those of Bricking Bavaria and the Skaerbaek Fan Weekend in Denmark.
At that time I was also spending a lot of time with web development, so I decided to found Nirastich.com, to have a platform entirely dedicated to my LEGO hobby, completely under my own control and away from the big social media giants. I have been using the name "Nirastich" as my username for a while now, which is simply an anagram of "Christian". Since this invented word had not been used anywhere, I was able to secure it on all relevant platforms without any problems and even acquire the matching .com domain.
Nirastich.com was initially only available in German, but I soon added the English subpage "en.nirastich.com", where translated versions of almost all posts can be found. I divide the content of the main page into two categories: Projects and Blogposts. The first contains my finished LEGO projects and blogposts cover building updates, smaller side projects and other topics. On the English page there is no such separation.
Finally I would like to mention that in developing Nirastich.com, as with my other websites, I put a strong focus on privacy and user friendliness. That is why none of my websites will ever have shady third-party cookies or ads. Some data has to be collected for technical reasons, but this is all made as transparent as possible in the privacy policy. Since the website is completely handwritten and does not rely on any frameworks or other external services, errors can occur. If you notice anything, I'm always reachable by email at nirastich@73.nu.
