Hello everyone,
A few weeks ago I was able to get hold of a large quantity of the LEGO Darth Vader Pods from the set #5005376. These have one big difference to the LEGO Batman pods I previously used: the outer shell is chrome-plated!
By the way, removing the stickers went pretty well with a little heat and patience, even better than with the Batman pods. Possibly due to the smooth chrome layer.
I also improved the quality of the stickers with the help of a better laser printer:
I then used the new material to create a few new SigFig pods:
As nice as the new chrome pods are to look at, they unfortunately are quite the fingerprint magnets. But they are not intended to replace the old pods, at least not in the foreseeable future. I still have a large quantity of these, as well as empty Batman pods, in stock.
Also, the removed stickers didn't end up in the trash, as I find them quite interesting. I transferred them to wax paper so that they can be reused if necessary.
